About Us

Speech and Language Therapy

More than Words Speech Language Therapy  LLC  is located in South Jordan Utah, providing private speech and language therapy to children ages 2-18 throughout the Greater Salt Lake area.  We are conveniently located in South Salt Lake county bordering on Utah County. We provide comprehensive one-on-one speech and language therapy. 

Shar Elmer, SLP

 With over 30 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, Shar has a passion for helping children improve their ability to connect to family and friends through spoken language. Her career experience includes a variety of settings such as:  student clinician supervisor at the University of Utah, working in hospital and home healthcare settings, and working with deaf toddlers and preschool children in an Auditory/Oral Deaf School.  For the last 25 years, she has been working with her favorite population, children 3-18 years of age, with a variety of Speech Language Disorders. 

Qualifications

Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)

ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence

Utah State Educators License


Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders - University of Utah

Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology - University of Utah
